"....the tiny, beautifully expressive Zachary Uzarraga is pure magic. You can’t take your eyes off him.” Hedy Weiss, theatre critic for the Chicago Sun-Times
Zachary Uzarraga is a young actor based in the Chicago area with experience in theatre, commercials, and voiceovers. He was cast in his first professional stage production at the tender age of 8 (Miss Saigon at the Paramount Theatre), and has been working steadily ever since. Audiences at Drury Lane Oak Brook, Marriott Theatre, and Lyric Opera Chicago have had the pleasure of watching him perform, and he has been featured in promotions for Comcast, Wisconsin Dells, Enjoy Life Foods, Dean & St. Clare, Build-A-Bear, Toys R Us, Kmart, Ronald McDonald House, and Nationwide Children's Hospital, among others. Directors that have had the pleasure of working with him have noted his great focus and his ability to comprehend the emotional nature of each scene. Whether it's a comedic piece or drama, he connects and gets it. Zachary loves performing, and it shows. He's received great feedback from theatre critics in the Chicago Tribune, Chicago Sun-Times, many online critics, and audience members at every production in which he has performed.
When he is not performing, he enjoys Kung Fu, archery, sword-fighting, tumbling, swimming, dancing, riding his bike, video games, watching tv and movies, and all things DC comics. His biggest dream is to be cast in Hamilton the Musical and/or on a superhero show on the CW network.
